  "Inclusive and welcoming" would be the two words I'd use to describe our church. Services open with an invitation to all to walk a path of questioning and faith with us - we welcome all races, ages, and nationalities, LGBTQ persons, able-bodied and other-abled, long-time church attendees and those who are just beginning to wonder if there is another Way. Sermons challenge us to put our faith into action to support each other and our community, wherever there is a need, from feeding the hungry in our area through our Oregon Food Bank food pantry, to political action to fight for civil rights and against oppression and injustice. We close many Sundays by joining hands and singing: "Life is short, and we have not much time, to gladden the hearts of those who travel the way with us. So be swift to love, make haste to be kind . . . ." We are a small church with a big heart and a big, heart-shaped footprint!

  Tried this church a few months ago because they advertise they are an Open an Affirming church, which means they have made a public covenant to welcome LGBTQ folks. I admit, I was skeptical, but the warm welcome we got from BUCC and the way they have embraced my friends who are LGBTQ put my suspicions to rest. Heck, they even let me hang out with them, so that's pretty open-minded. If you are in the Beavercreek / Clackamas County area and you are looking for a church that believes "love thy neighbor" means ALL of thy neighbors, come join us some Sunday at 10 am and plan to stay for fellowship time afterward.

  Beavercreek UCC is a really special church. People are really warm and welcoming. Services are lively, with good sermons and good music. It's progressive and LGBT friendly. Hospitality, not judgement. You can truly feel the presence and love of God at Beavercreek.
